The new owner of the Tattered Cover Bookstore, Len Vlahos, gave an inspiring talk to local authors at the November AuthorU meeting with Dr. Judith Briles, Founder and Chief Visionary Officer.

A new program for local authors is in the works with Matilda leading the way and serving as the contact for local authors. Once the Tattered Cover has their new computer system in place, the Local Author Program details will be finalized at that time as well. This was great news for the local AuthorU community as rumors that the local author program had been cancelled was put to rest. The Tattered Cover Bookstore will be working with local authors for selling their books at their 3 main locations, conducting events such as book launches and book readings and maintaining their local and Indie bookstore roots.
